Welcome to the BU MBA Consulting Association!

WHO WE ARE:
The BU MBA Consulting Association, often referred to as BUMBACA, is a student-run association that connects BU MBA students, alumni, and professionals from the consulting industry. The goals of the association are three-fold:
  • To prepare current MBA students for consulting careers by providing skill-building and networking opportunities to supplement their MBA program
  • To initiate and support connections among BU MBA alumni and between alumni and current students in our ever growing network
  • To connect consulting companies and other organizations with project, internship and job inquiries to talented and driven BU MBA students

For more information on how you can benefit from being a part of the BU MBA Consulting Association, please email consulting@smgmba.com and check out the information throughout this website. [We are currently updating the website with information for 2010-2011. Come back regularly for updated information!]

BU MBA STUDENTS

WHAT INCOMING STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW
Consulting companies do their internship and full-time recruiting in the FALL, not the winter or spring (like most all other companies). Therefore, the MBA Consulting Association is going to its best to get in some helpful events (Resume review, Case Interview Prep) in the first few weeks of school to prepare you for the interview process.

GET STARTED DEVELOPING YOUR CONSULTING CAREER TODAY:

Learn About Consulting - This page provides many case prep materials and information about the consulting industry. This is a good place to start.

Join the Mailing List - Stay informed about association events, job/internship leads and general information by adding your contact information.

Introduce Yourself to the Officers & Association Advisor - The officers and our association advisor, Greg Collier, have great experience to share.

Contact the Consulting Career Community - The Faculty Advisor, Erik Molander, is a great resource and connection to other consulting experts.

Meet the Feld Career Center - Ronit Silver is the FCC Corporate Relations contact for consulting and a key contact as you research companies.

Get Involved in the Association - There are lots of opportunities to lead projects and events for the association and doing so, expand your network.

All of these avenues are great resources that are enthusiastic about helping you launch or expand a consulting career, and you can find more information about each one on the corresponding pages in the navigation on the left. Also look for upcoming announcements and events as those details get finalized.
